Why do we need health insurance?

As you know a very few people are able to pay the cost of health care when disaster strikes and they or someone they care get really sick. To keep yourself protected from the expenses associated with medical disaster, it is essential to have medical insurance.It means basically that we pool all the money together, enough that if one of us get sick there is money in the pool to pay for that person to get better.

But, why is health care so expensive?

There are several reasons.The drug companies claim that they need to charge so much because they make up higher research and development. On the other hand doctors pay enormous amount of money for malpractice insurance premium and additionally the other factors such as hospital services, administration and doctors’ fees play a big role.

There are many different types of health benefit plans and you need to know the difference in them to make the right choice. As a role, it is important to know that your policy covers: The cost of surgery, the cost of outpatient care, the majority of doctor bills, cost of your prescription drugs, secondary expenses and deductibles.

With the right coverage and policy we keep ourselves protected and know that the cost of medical bills won’t be solely our responsibility.
